Hainan Special Medicine Insurance: with minimum cost of 39 yuan/year covering up to 1 million yuan

“Boao Lecheng Global Special Medicine Insurance in the Hainan Free Trade Port” has launched on Nov. 11th, 2020.

The insurance has four advantages:

1. The insurance covers up to 1 million yuan in special medicines for malignant tumors annually. Within the the insured amount, the insurance will cover 100% of the cost. The minimum annual premium is only 39 yuan in the first year.

2. The insurance covers 49 kinds of special anti-cancer medicines from all over the world that are not available to the public in the rest of China, or that are used beyond the domestic medicine usage indication scope.

3. Medical examinations are not required. Persons of all nationalities living in the Chinese Mainland are eligible to purchase the insurance within the specified range. Medicine for the insured party is guaranteed within 1 year after diagnosis, so that the continuous medicine usage is ensured. The insured party is also entitled to one free registration service and services including the first genetic tests for the medication and application for medication received on a charitable basis.

4. A policy adjusting the coefficient of the premium rate for family insurance is specially added in order to raise cost performance.

Additionally, for insured parties who fly to Hainan and come to Lecheng for medical treatment, free shuttle service to Lecheng is available, as well as reimbursement of the cost of an economy class round-trip ticket of up to 5,000 yuan.
